EX-POSITION (2021) - Video project in support of and in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. To enrich the knowledge in our dance community, we are demonstrating the evolution of techniques contributing to Hip-Hop Dance and highlighting the Halifax milestones that contribute to that timeline. This project features the Black professional Hip Hop dancers and educators in and from Halifax, supported by a Black production team and allied organizations.
DE-POSITION (Nocturne Halifax - Oct, 2020) - Place taking, taking place. Experience the statement of the black condition, a movement testimony. We acknowledge the evidence, admit our ignorance, confess our shortcomings. Unseat the barriers within a system and overthrow our understanding. Allow the accumulation, show the build-up, and come out on the other side.
